A SHORT WALK AWAY


Marblehead offers a few beach options. Devereux Beach offers a great place for the entire family with calming waves crashing onto the sand, a cafe (Neck Run Cafe), playground and restrooms.  Also in Marblehead, Preston Beach offers a great place to sit in a chair and read while listening to the waves crash.

Chandler Hovey Park & Marblehead Lighthouse

This interesting structure is one of only 14 pyramidal skeletal lighthouses left in the United States, and it's the only one of it's kind in New England. Built in 1896, standing over 100 feet tall, and located within Chandler Hovey Park, this is a must-see for all lighthouse lovers.

Old Burial Hill Cemetery

Sailing Charters & Classes

Sailing is a big deal in Marblehead, and lucky for guests, there are plenty of ways to get out on the water! Local charter companies like Emma Rose Sailing Charters and Sail Satori offer daytime and sunset cruises as well as private classes for those looking to learn or obtain certifications. Emma Rose Sailing even offers the opportunity to "step into the world of sailboat racing aboard the 'Emma Rose'" during weekend racing regattas! Classes are also given at the Marblehead Recreation, Parks and Forestry Department and the Black Rock Sailing School.
